‪Here’s a glimpse of last month’s progress at our @department_ryde project on the Isle of Wight, where layers of history are beginning to emerge. Since then, even more has unfolded, giving us a real sense of how these quirky, one-of-a-kind spaces will come together. Stay tuned as we continue transforming this building into a home for our client, @shademakersuk, and a creative hub for communities across the island.‬

We are excited to share that we’ve been appointed by @citywestminster to work on the Westminster High Streets Programme, collaborating with the brilliant landscape architects @studiogb.uk and QS experts @stockdaleuk ! 🙌

Building on our experience revitalising high streets across the UK, from Woolwich to Weston-super-Mare, we’re ready to bring our community-driven approach to Westminster. Our goal? To create vibrant, people-focused spaces that reflect the unique character and potential of each neighbourhood.

Huge thanks to Joanna Turner, Dina Mneimneh, Ramiro Levy, and the team at @citywestminster for this amazing opportunity. Can’t wait to get started and help make a lasting impact!

Earlier this month, we spent the day with @shademakersuk touring some of London’s finest examples of joinery and craftsmanship. From the bold red tabletops at @stratford.workshops by @studiomutt to the meticulous designs at @presentandcorrect by @architectureforlondon, and a striking pop of yellow at the @southbankcentre – all in search of inspiration for our project, @department_ryde, on the Isle of Wight which is currently on site and progressing fast.

A day well spent amongst Londons creative spaces - we cant wait to see what @shademakersuk get up to with their own joinery pieces over the next few months!
Celebrating 25 years of groundbreaking architecture with @granddesignstv and @kevin.mccloud1 !

We’re proud to have been part of this journey with Slip House, a project that challenged conventional design and embraced sustainability. With its three sculptural boxes, wildflower roof, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting, Slip House continues to push the boundaries of energy-efficient living. We are honoured to have been featured on the show and recognised for our commitment to modern, sustainable architecture.

Here’s to 25 years of inspiring builds and innovation 🍾

...and here’s where it is going. The transformation of Florentia Village is progressing well. We are building a state-of-the-art creative hub in Haringey, London, with 90,000 sq ft of light industrial space across double-stacked ‘workshop’ buildings. These buildings are designed with solar-optimised roofs, natural ventilation, and communal yards, all while targeting Net Zero Carbon and BREEAM Excellent standards.

Here’s where we started... What was once an uninspiring car park with storage containers is being transformed into a beacon of creativity and sustainability at Florentia Village. Our 90,000 sq ft new build will provide flexible, high-quality workspace for local makers, with capacity for over 54 new businesses. Designed by Turner Works with a focus on Net Zero Carbon and BREEAM excellence, this project is setting a new standard for industrial workspaces.

As @raphaelarthur , Project Architect at Turner Works, says: ‘This scheme is designed to foster a platform for serious work with a playful community, a long-life, loose-fit approach that aims to do the most with the least.’

Here is a sneak peek at the transformation of The Friends Cafe in Woolwich! We’re nearing completion on this vibrant shop front as part of the Woolwich High Street Heritage Action Zone.

At Turner Works, we are revitalising high streets across the UK, from Woolwich to Newhaven, and from Weston-Super-Mare to Ryde, Isle of Wight. In Woolwich, alongside @youandme_archi, @retailrevival66, @stockdaleuk, @survey_design, Cuttle and Standage, we are working closely with local residents, artists and businesses to celebrate the heritage, diversity and future of the town centre. The project includes restored shop fronts; plaques for historic buildings; co-created murals; and new public spaces.

Excited to share more soon! 🌟 Supported by @royal_greenwich & @historicengland

We are thrilled to unveil our designs for the @capitalcentric @riba competition! Partnering with the brilliant minds at @ashsakulaarchitects and @archio_ltd , we've envisioned a transformative masterplan for a new neighbourhood in St George’s, Wolverhampton.

Our design embraces a cyclist and pedestrian-friendly approach, seamlessly integrating historic routes to create a human centred urban grain. Led by landscape, our plan also features greened boulevards and pocket parks to cultivate a welcoming neighbourhood with a lush public realm that will serve not only the residents but the entire city.

Our proposal centres community infrastructure at its heart mixed in with culture, local commerce and production to create a vibrant micro-economy that celebrates Wolverhampton’s history of making.

A heartfelt thanks to Jane Ward, Holly Parry, and the young voices from @centralyouththeatre for their invaluable input during meetings and workshops.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey!
